The Knight's Armament Company SR-25 rifle was created as a collaboration between C. Reed Knight, Jr. and Eugene Stoner, the inventor of the AR-10 and AR-15, during the 1990s. This is an early Knight's Manufacturing Company of Vero Beach, Florida production example that was manufactured on January 5, 1993 and sold on May 10, 1993. Advertised and sold by Knight's as the "Lightweight Match" variant, this example features a medium contour 20 inch barrel without threads at the muzzle, Picatinny gas block and a free-floating carbon fiber tube forend, and is also accompanied with an extra original matching numbered upper assembly in the "Match Rifle" configuration with 24 inch target contour barrel, Picatinny gas block and free-floating carbon fiber tube forend. Standard markings and features, with matching serial numbers on the upper and lower receivers, chrome bolt and bolt carrier, A2 type pistol grip and fixed stock with extended buttpad, and one correct unmarked AR-10 type "waffle" magazine. Includes a Leupold VARI-X III 6.5x20-50mm scope with lens caps, the noted extra upper assembly, and a commercial hard case as used by Knight's to ship these rifles. According to the consignor, the rifle was built by Reed Knight for Tommy Campbell of Safariland Holster who was a personal friend.

Condition: Excellent, retains 99% original black and blue finishes with some light handling marks on the metal and furniture. Mechanically excellent. Extra upper assembly and scope are also excellent, with clear optics.
