The STEYR SSG M1A2 continues the tradition of STEYR ARMS precision rifles – as a modular long-range platform for law enforcement users and ambitious precision shooters. At the heart of the system is a cold-hammered, free-floating match barrel combined with an adjustable two-stage trigger, ensuring controlled shot release and consistently high precision.
The integrated quick-change barrel and caliber system enables rapid adaptation to different operational profiles. Available calibers include .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .338 Lapua Magnum, .300 Norma Magnum, and .338 Norma Magnum – covering everything from high-precision target applications to extreme long-range scenarios.
The folding aluminum stock is fully adjustable in cheek rest height and length of pull, providing a stable and reproducible shooting position. The fully ambidextrous operating architecture ensures ergonomic handling for both right- and left-handed shooters.
For modern long-range applications, the SSG M1A2 offers a 20 MOA STANAG 4694 top rail, a handguard with M-LOK and integrated ARCA rail. A muzzle brake for quick mounting of suppressors is available off-the-shelf. Barrel lengths range from 350 to 690 mm, and the magazine holds 10 rounds.
