Overview
The Colt® LE6940 is a semi-automatic AR-pattern rifle featuring a monolithic upper receiver design that integrates the rail system and upper receiver into a single component.
Platform Design
The LE6940 utilizes a direct impingement gas system and incorporates a one-piece monolithic upper receiver with a continuous MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail extending from the rear of the receiver to the front sight base.
Rail & Modularity
The monolithic design provides a fixed alignment between the receiver and top rail for optics mounting. The rifle also features a removable lower rail section for accessory attachment.
