During his time as a Texas Ranger he was involved in several high profile cases, including the arrest of Charles Harrelson, father of actor Woody Harrelson, for the murder of John H. Wood, the first federal judge murdered in over a century. Dean left the Texas Rangers following his appointment to U.S. Marshall for West Texas, and became one of only six Texas Rangers appointed to do so. He severed as a Marshal for ten years. Dean passed away June 21 2022. This pair of boots have full quill ostrich vamps and counters with classic toe box stitching patterns, and a pointed toe. The shafts calf skin with a Texas ranger badge embroidered on the front, information on the inside stating the boots are a size 10 and "D" width, and stitched on pull tabs. The leather soles have white stitching around the Goodyear welt with 22 pins, ten on the outside and twelve on the inside, at the arch, and a 1 5/8 inch Cuban heel. Included with this magnificent pair is a Notarized letter from Jack Dean stating he wore these boots during his time as a Texas Ranger and a clip on tie.

The majority of the wear is on the bottom of the soles with the leather showing a rich black coloration and typical creasing. This pair of boots would make an excellent addition to any Texas Ranger collection!
