Colt's First Model Derringer was based on the design first manufactured by Moore Patent Firearms Co. and then the National Arms Co. before it was purchased by Colt in 1870. They were manufactured until 1890. This example features standard Colt markings, factory engraving on the frame that extends to the rear of the barrel, and a matching numbered barrel.
Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 80% original blue finish and frame has a brown-gray patina with some pitting. Mechanically excellent.
