Manufactured in the 1890s, with the typical floral pattern accents on the barrel and frame, this example shows a very scarce blue finish. These pistols were often carried in pockets where they dealt with wear and moisture, making it very rare to find high condition examples with the less durable blue finish like this one on the collectors market. Produced without sights, with the model and patent markings on the frame and the Chicago Firearms address on the side plate. The frame, side plate and turret cylinder are numbered to match. It is fitted with checkered hard rubber panels on the side plate and frame and a checkered hard rubber palm pad.
Condition: Exceptionally fine, retains 75% of the original blue finish with some mild handling wear and light handling marks. The interior is excellent with most of the original blue finish remaining. The grips scales and pad are fine with some light wear and a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
